Blog Posts
Evidence: blog posts
OLTD Outcome Addressed:
Share course-related learning with members of the course and greater educational community.
This piece of evidence was created using a blog on my Weebly website. Throughout OLTD 505, I was able to represent my learning by posting to my blog and responding to blog post made by my peers. For this assignment, I was asked to create a blog post of my weekly learning and share it with my peers. In addition, I also learned how to create hyperlinks within my blog posts to articles that I read. Although, it took me a long time to learn how to create hyperlinks, it made it a lot easier for peers to link to the articles I read.
By completing weekly blog posts, I have learned that blogging has become a great way for people to share their information and ideas and allow readers and writers of blogs the ability to give feedback or share their ideas and opinions. Additionally, they have become a great way to for students, parents and educators to acquire and share information. Blogging has become a powerful educational tool that educators can use to teach any subject, develop a variety of skills and allow to students to share information, ideas and opinions.
As an online educator, I need to be up-to-date with technology so that I can find ways to allow students to communicate develop a sense of community. By having students post to their blog and respond to others’ blogs, I can develop an online learning community. A community is a place where students can make connections with their peers so they can develop a sense of belonging. Developing social presence and a feeling of community, so that learners do not feel isolated and alone, are key components of effective online learning. In addition, blogging motivates students to communicate and connect while developing their reading and writing skills

Summary Of Learning
Evidence: Summary Of Learning
OLTD Outcome Addressed: Articulate one’s summary of learning in the course in a multimedia, online format.
This piece of evidence was created using the online multimedia presentation tool Vuvox. For this assignment, I was asked to demonstrate my learning related to Open Education
Resources. Although, it took me a long time to learn how use the online multimedia tool, I found it to be an effective presentation tools.
By completing an online multimedia presentation, I learned some of the challenges that can be encountered when attempting to produce an online multimedia presentation. In addition, I have also learned strategies to help students overcome challenges they may encounter while use similar online presentation tools. Students can be provided with immediate solutions to problems they encounter. For my students,
if I am aware of ways to overcome challenges, I will have the tools needed to present, moderate and support student learning.
As an online educator, I need to be up-to-date with technology so that I can teach my students how to use
online presentation tools to summarize their learning. When I provide my students with a variety of online presentation tools, I will be allowing students choices. When students are provided with choice, students will be more engaged in their learning. It is my job to stay up-to-date with technology so that my students can use the technology to maximize their learning potential.
