“Once bitten twice shy” is how I felt after being introduced to Twitter in OLTD 502. But, with time and continued exposure, I’m starting to become more comfortable and familiar with twitter. I am also starting to see how twitter can be used for sharing educational resources and information. As Randy put it “think of Twitter like brain candy. Always on the shelf, stimulating, but not something you need to immerse in. Connect when you can, but you will never keep up to the steady stream - just pick out a few gems when you can.” After reading your blog post, I decided to setup tweetdeck . I can honestly say that tweetdeck makes twitter a lot more appealing for newbie’s like me as a way to manage and organize my incoming and outgoing tweets and follow other hashtags. Additionally, I have been looking into Twitter for Teachers that was shared by Jean Kloppenburg on the OLTD505 Google Community. In particular, I found the section “7 Starters for Teachers to Try” to be very helpful. Here they have “devised some challenges for those new to twitter wanting some ideas on how to join the
